Upon the death of a well-known Chicago lawyer, the executor/trustee interviewed various law firms and selected Larry Kline to help administer the deceased attorney’s estate.  The decedent had an active practice and a significant estate involving multiple issues.  Larry used a team approach in dealing with the numerous issues of the complex estate. The team completed the windup of the deceased’s law firm, negotiated the termination of two different leases, and sold furniture and equipment. The team oversaw the billing of all work in progress, the collection of account receivables, and made sure that all current cases were appropriately handled. In addition, the team established a trust for the attorney’s child, a minor beneficiary, opened a guardianship in probate court for that beneficiary, selected an investment advisor, and oversaw the resolution of family disputes.
